LED assembly with improved light yield and method for operating same

The arrangement (10) has a LED chip (2) arranged on a substrate (1). A reflector (6) i.e. curved mirror, reflects a part of light radiated by the LED chip during operating the arrangement. A part of the light reflected by the reflector is directed on a luminescence-conversion layer (3), which is arranged on the LED chip. The reflector is designed so that the reflector forms an image of the LED chip on the LED chip. The reflector is aligned so that imaging of the image of the LED chip is affected. A lens (5) endlessly provides an image of the LED chip. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a LED arrangement.
