The present invention relates to a method for providing a cloud service, capable of increasing service capacity of the cloud server by using a resource of a personal storage device owned by a person and a cloud server using the same, wherein the cloud service providing method comprises the steps of: providing a cloud interface for searching and editing a file uploaded at the cloud server or receiving a request from a user; if receiving a request for registering the personal storage device, connecting to the personal storage device and then additionally displaying a personal folder, corresponding to the personal storage device, at the cloud interface; if receiving a request for accessing the personal folder, providing a cloud service by using the resource of the personal storage device; and, if receiving a request for accessing a folder or a file besides the personal folder, providing the cloud service by using a resource of the cloud server.
