Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for controlling cell reselection, which relate to the field of terminals technologies. The method includes: when the signal strength of the current cell is lower than a set value and the duration exceeds a set time, acquiring signal strengths of a current cell and a neighboring cell within a second set time; determining signal stability of the current cell according to the signal strength of the current cell, and determining signal stability of the neighboring cell according to a signal strength of the neighboring cell; and making a serving cell camp on the current cell when the signal stability of the neighboring cell is not less than the signal stability of the current cell. The embodiments of the present invention are mainly applied to a cell reselection process. |
