<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sanitary napkin excellent in liquid absorptivity and excellent in concealability from a skin abutting surface side of the spread of body fluid in an absorbing layer. <P>SOLUTION: The sanitary napkin 1 includes a surface layer 2 forming a skin abutting surface, and a liquid holding absorbing layer 4 arranged on the skin non-abutting surface side of the surface layer 2. Between the surface layer 2 and the absorbing layer 4, a water-soluble layer 5 dissolved in saline is interposed and arranged. The water-soluble layer 5 is a fiber aggregate whose main component is water-soluble ultrafine fibers.
