<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the further expansion of damage and an influence on the outside of a device by surely detecting that a part of an optical system is damaged due to strong light source light, even when a part of the optical system is damaged. <P>SOLUTION: The device for projection includes: a laser diode (LD) 21 which continuously generates the same wavelength light; a color wheel 23 which includes a phosphor layer formed on at least a part of the circumference of a rotation disk irradiated with light from the LD 21, to cover a prescribed mark; input systems 11 and 12 for inputting an image signal; projection systems 13 to 16, 18 and 19 which form and project an optical image corresponding to the image signal input in the input systems 11 and 12 by using light provided via the color wheel 23; a CCD 29 which is arranged to face the circumference of the rotation disk of the rotation wheel and detects the appearance of the prescribed mark covered with the phosphor layer; and a projection light processing part 31 and a CPU 32 which stop the generation of the light in the LD 21, according to the detection result of the CCD 29. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
