A method is provided for remotely controlling at least one infant care apparatus. A remote control device can be connected in communication to the at least one infant care apparatus. A user can perform a touch operation through a graphic user interface on the remote control device for transmit a control signal to one of the least one infant care apparatus. The infant care apparatus receiving the control signal operates according to the control signal. Therefore, the user still can effectively control the operation of the infant care apparatus even without being beside the infant care apparatus. The infant care apparatus may be, for example, a crib, a playard, a cradle, a high chair, an infant carrier, an infant stroller. The remote control device may be a smartphone or tablet pc running a suitable application. The remote control may be arranged to control a motion mechanism, an audio device, a microphone, a camera, a vibrator, and/or a lighting device associated with the infant care apparatus. |
