Connecting device for a cable housing arrangement

A connecting device 10 for connecting an article to a cable housing arrangement (12, fig 2), where the cable housing arrangement may be a coaxial fibre optic cable and has an inner cable housing (14, fig 2) and an outer cable housing (16, fig 2). The connecting device comprises a body 18 defining a main conduit 24 to receive the cable housing arrangement, a first holding arrangement 34 for holding the inner cable housing, and a second holding arrangement 50 for holding the outer cable housing. The connecting device may also have a communication conduit 26 with a through aperture 32 for the cable that may be a fibre optic cable. The first holding arrangement may have a first collet 36 with a radially outwardly extending flange 40 and a first sealing o-ring member 47. The second holding arrangement may have a second collet and a second sealing o-ring member 56.
