The invention relates to a framing system to receive an item to be displayed, the system comprising one or more fixing devices 50; a rear support 40 having a substantially planar surface, the rear support further defining one or more apertures 42 therethrough, each aperture 42 configured to receive a fixing device 50 at least partially therethrough; and one or more fixing means (elements 34), each fixing means configured for engagement with a respective fixing device, wherein an item to be displayed (item 20) is held in place relative to the rear support under magnetic force, from (for example) magnetic element 38, between respective pairs of fixing devices and fixing means. The invention also relates to a method for the non-destructive mounting of an item to be displayed using such a framing system. |
