<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bio-absorbable implant which has both an excellent bone fusion property and high strength, and a method of manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The bio-absorbable implant comprises a porous body which contains a bio-absorbable polymer and bioactive ceramics dispersed in the polymer and has porosity of 45-75%, a diameter of a pore of 350-500 μm, a diameter of a pore communicating part of 150 μm or more, and compressive strength of 2 MPa or more. The method of manufacturing the bio-absorbable implant includes the process of mixing a granulated composite containing granules having a diameter of less than 355 μm at a rate of 30 mass% or more and less than 45 mass% and granules of a soluble substance having a diameter of the granule substantially in a range of 355-500 μm in such a manner that the rate of the soluble substance is 45-75 vol.% with respect to the total volume of the granulated composite and the soluble substance for preparing the granulated mixture, the process of pressure-molding the granulated mixture under heating, and the process of dipping the molded body in a solvent. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
