<p>The invention relates to a navigation system (1) comprising a centralised server (10) that can be connected to a plurality of mobile navigation devices (30), the centralised server comprising a module for testing direction data (21) in order to verify, for each manoeuvre, whether landmark data is provided in the available cartographic road data; a data synthesis module (24) capable of retrieving the direction data for the sections for which said data has been identified, and, for the manoeuvres for which no landmark data is available, generating geometric indications based on the actual geometry of the relevant sections of the itinerary; a module for generating a synthetic itinerary map (27), capable of arranging the data of the synthesis module (24) in an order that corresponds to the itinerary to be followed in order to generate a synthetic itinerary for a mobile navigation device.</p> |
