The present invention relates to a method for preparing a ferromagnetic material from a diamagnetic single crystal material and a ferromagnetic material manufactured by the method. According to the present invention, it is possible to produce a diamagnetic single crystal material into a ferromagnetic material having ferromagnetism through a simple process of projecting electronic beams or proton beams onto a diamagnetic single crystal material selected from a group consisting of MoS_2, MoSe_2, MoTe_2, WS_2, and WSe_2, or of a heat treatment in the hydrogen atmosphere. According to the method according to the present invention, it is possible to selectively produce a ferromagnetic material having magnetic anisotropy which is oriented parallel or perpendicular to the direction of a crystal plane by giving ferromagnetism to a diamagnetic single crystal material selected from the group consisting of MoS_2, MoSe_2, MoTe_2, WS_2, and WSe_2 and simultaneously adjusting magnetic anisotropy which is oriented parallel or perpendicular to the direction of the crystal plane. |
