A device for the continuous lubrication of a drive shaft is provided. The device comprises a grease cartridge #7 and hydraulic lubrication pipe #3 attached thereto which are accommodated in a chamber within the drive shaft and can be accessed via a shaft chamber lid #1. The lubrication pipe #3 is attached to the grease cartridge #7 via a fixture nut #4 and to the drive shaft via a quick release compression fitting #5.The device is removed from the chamber by removing the drive shaft lid #1, and loosening securing bolts /fixtures #2, making the grease cartridge #7 and hydraulic tube #3 accessible. By pressing the compression fittings #5 inward the grip on the hydraulic lubrication pipe is released, in turn removing the grease cartridge from its position within the chamber. |
