<p>A rubber composition for a tire innerliner is disclosed. The rubber composition is at least essentially exclusive of butyl rubber and of halogenated butyl rubber. It comprises, based upon parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of rubber (phr);
(A) 100 phr of elastomers comprising:
(1) 10 to 90 phr of cis 1,4-polyisoprene rubber, and
(2) 10 to 90 phr of styrene/butadiene rubber (SBR); and
(B) 5 to 40 phr of resin, the resin comprising at least one of p-octylphenol formaldehyde resin, p-tert-butylphenol acetylene resin, p-tert-amylphenol formaldehyde resin, rosin acid, rosin acid esters, rosin acid oligomers and disproportionated rosin acid.</p> |
