摘要 <p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for automatically controlling a gain of an inertia sensor. The apparatus comprises an inertia sensor for detecting an acceleration and an angular velocity of a corresponding shaft according to an oscillation and coriolis force of a driving mass of each shaft; a driving means for oscillating the driving mass in a direction of the corresponding shaft according to an applied voltage; a detecting means for detecting a driving displacement of the driving mass oscillated by the driving means; and a control means for comparing the detected driving displacement with a predetermined target value to determine a state of the driving mass and controlling such that the driving displacement of the driving mass is compensated when the state of the driving mass is abnormal. Thus, the driving mass can be uniformly driven regardless of variations of time and environment (temperature) so that accuracy can be improved, and an initial driving voltage, a driving voltage range and a margin value range of the target are set so that damage to the driving mass and driving noise by the AGC can be minimized.
