<p>Block shaped bags with a filler valve are produced by (a) placing two lengthwise incisions from an end of a tubular film part to form two corner flaps, (b) inwardly folding the corner flaps around diagonal lines between the incision end point and the lengthwise edge of the tubular film, (c) folding the bottom flaps around a transverse fold line, (d) clamping together the corner flaps and the bottom flaps, (e) placing a separating element into position, and (f) welding with a welding element so that lengthwise and transverse bottom welds are formed. The tubular film part is provided with at least one first corner flap which is longer in the lengthwise direction than the bottom flaps, while after the inwards folding of the corner flaps, the bottom flaps are folded around a transverse fold line that runs mainly perpendicular to the lengthwise axis of the tubular film part in the part of the uncut tubular film part next to the incision points.</p> |
