An analogue wristwatch comprises an integrated motion detector 33 for detecting and displaying motion to which the wristwatch is subjected. Motion may for exampleindicate steps taken or sleep disturbance. The motion detector and wristwatch may be combined so as to minimize the number of electrical components and to provide for automatic starting and stopping of a motion detector function.
