Method for increasing the throw distance of thermal inkjet inks

The invention describes a method of enhancing the throw distance of an inkjet ink, particularly a thermal inkjet ink, by controlling the ink viscosity. The method provides for increasing the ink viscosity to achieve maximum throw distance. The ink viscosity is preferably within the range from 1-10 mPa.s and preferably a surface tension in the range of 18-60 mN/m3.
