[Also in Division B8] In a filing cabinet 1, trays 4 carrying removable cardboard boxes 3 are slidably supported on shelves 2 formed with transverse slots 6 terminating short of the shelf front edge, the rear end of each slot 6 having an insertion aperture 7 to receive a T-shaped tongue 5 depending from the rear of a tray 4, the latter being guided during withdrawal by engagement of the tongue 5 in the slot 6. The front of the shelf 2 is bent over to form a hollow front edge 8 defining a chamfer 8<SP>1</SP>. A triangular rod 10 may be fitted over the chamfer 8<SP>1</SP> to provide a bearing for the bottom of the tray 4. The rod 10 has T-shaped tongues (9, Fig. 5) anchored in the ends of the slots 6. Alternatively, the rod 10 may be omitted so that a fully withdrawn tray 4 may hinge downwardly to be supported in an inclined position (Fig. 9) on the chamfer 8<SP>1</SP>.
