RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE

A rubber composition for a tire containing (1) 100 parts by weight of a rubber component of natural rubber and/or diene-based synthetic rubber and (2)(a) 0.5 to 40 parts by weight of a cylindrical or columnar shaped porous diatomaceous earth having a cylinder or column height of 100�m or less and (b)(i) carbon black and/or (ii) silica, wherein the total weight of components (a) and (b) is 40 to 80 parts by weight, whereby the ice traction of the rubber composition is improved, without decreasing the abrasion resistance and strength.
