Use of polymers of quaternary ammonium compounds or their salts for disinfection and prevention of algae in bath water, is claimed. The polymers comprise at least two polymers of quaternary ammonium compounds or their salts, where the first polymer exhibits a polymerization degree of 30-55 and the second polymer exhibits a polymerization degree of 120-160.
