PURPOSE: A composition containing bacteriophage T10-1 and MY-1 for preventing vegetable soft rot is provided to replace antibiotics and to enhance environmental safety. CONSTITUTION: Bacteriophage MY-1(KACC 97000P) prevents vegetable soft rot. The bacteriophage is isolated from soil obtained from Gochang, Muan, Jeju, Taebaek, Haenam, and Pyungchang. A composition for preventing vegetable soft rot contains the bacteriaophage as an active ingredient. Vegetable soft rot is caused by Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. Carotovorum.
