The present invention relates to a composition for calcium uptake which includes mineral water and, more specifically, to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating osteoporosis and to a composition for calcium uptake which includes 200-300 mg/L of potassium, 7000-9500 mg/L of sodium, 1400-1700 mg/L of calcium, 900-1100 mg/L of magnesium, 3-9 mg/L of zinc, 25-35 mg/L of strontium, 200-500μg/L of selenium, 65-75μg/L of vanadium, 0.5-1.5μg/L of germanium, 10-40μg/L of manganese, 1-3μg/L of cobalt, 600-950μg/L of titan, 3-9μg/L of copper, 0.02-0.09 mg/L of lithium, 16000-19500 mg/L of chlorine ion, 1.5-3.0 mg/L of fluorine ion, 40-56 mg/L of bromide ion, 3000-4500 mg/L of sulfate ion, 0.8-1.2 mg/L of boron, and 0.5-15 mg/L of silicon dioxide as mineral components. The composition including brine mineral water collected from 1100 m underground of hot spring in coastal terrace in Gang-reung-si Ok-gye-myun geum-jin3ri 92-1, Kang-won-do, Korea according to the present invention reduces numerical value of instant parathyroid hormone (iPTH), and increases concentration of ionized calcium in order for the composition of the present invention which includes the effective composition to effectively help calcium absorption into body so that the composition can be effectively used for preventing and treating diseases such as osteoporosis caused by calcium deficiency.
