PURPOSE: An obstacle alarm system interlocked with a vehicle audio system and a method thereof are provided to prevent damage of a speaker by smoothly returning volume to original output level of an audio after outputting alarm. CONSTITUTION: An obstacle alarm system interlocked with a vehicle audio system(100) comprises an alarm signal generating unit(110), an output level controlling unit(130), an output level storing unit(140), and a control unit(150). The alarm signal generating unit receives obstacle sensed signals. If obstacles exist in a progressive direction of a vehicle within predetermined distance, the alarm signal generating unit generates alarm signals. The output level controlling unit controls output level of vehicle audio signals. If the alarm signals are generated, the output level storing unit stores first output level of the vehicle audio signals and the control unit outputs the audio signals to second output level If the alarm signals are finished, the control unit controls the output level controlling unit so that the output level of the audio signals is gradually increased from the second output level and is reached to the first output level. |
