<p>A stationary proxy server (7) receives the raw position data (3) of a vehicle, from a vehicle unit (2) and carries out toll collection process using the toll data (8) which is matched beforehand with a signature (10') equipped in a separate processor element (10), the raw position data or distance data (9) extracted from the vehicle unit. The toll data, raw position data and the distance data are compared with the signature equipped in the separate processor element, for carrying out toll collection with respect to the vehicle.
