The booster (61) has a caisson (2) including an internal transverse membrane (18) separating front and rear chambers (14, 16) subjected to different pressure levels. The membrane is displaced axially for delivering brake assistance force. The front chamber comprises a plastic ring (30) having annular shape that allows partial filling of a dead volume of the front chamber. The dead volume of the front chamber remains free during displacement of the membrane. The plastic ring is fixed in the caisson. The plastic ring has a conical front face centered on an axis (A) of the caisson.
