The device has a hydraulic module (20) fixed in a definite manner on a body shell of a vehicle. A clipping unit is clipped on a rear axle (30). Another clipping unit receives the hydraulic module. A cut and folded sheet forms the clipping units. The cut and folded sheet comprises a central plate with sets of hooks (8, 12) arranged opposite to one another. The former clipping unit comprises an open loop clipped on the rear axle. The latter clipping unit comprises another open loop clipped on the hydraulic module. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a hydraulic module using a temporary maintenance device.
