PURPOSE: A variable crown hearth roll for serpentine movement prevention of a strip in a heat treatment section is provided to form various thermal gradients by forming multiple shells in a direction of a roll axis, thereby being able to make various shapes of crowns. CONSTITUTION: A variable crown hearth roll for serpentine movement prevention of a strip in a heat treatment section includes a main axis(11), a roll body(12), a film layer(14a,14b,14c), and a cooling water pipe line(15). The roll body has multiple shells(13a,13b,13c) which surrounds the main axis, and is divided in the axial direction inside. The film layer is coated on the circumferential surface of the roll body, and contracted or expanded according to the temperature of the multiple shells of the roll body. The cooling water pipe line can independently supply cooling water to each of the multiple shells of the roll body. |
