The invention is directed to a pelletized ethylene polymer having a density ≥953 and ≤957 kg/m(according to ISO 1183); a high-load melt index ≥3 and ≤12 g/10 min (according to ISO 1133; 190°C; 21.6 kg); an Izod impact strength (-30°C) ≥25 and ≤70 KJ/m(according to ISO 180/A); a strain hardening modulus ≥10 and ≤25 MPa (according to the method as described in Elsevier, Polymer 46 (2005) 6369-6379); and M/M≥8 and ≤16 (according to size exclusion chromatography (SEC) measurement). The polyethylene can be applied in the production of open head drums and jerry cans.
