PURPOSE: A brake system of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission is provided to adjust an angle of a power roller according to a velocity ratio of an input plate and an output plate, thereby relieving a transmission impact. CONSTITUTION: A power roller (30) arranged in a ring-shaped gap formed between an input plate and an output plate delivers torque between the input plate and the output plate. A first actuator (40) connected to the output plate controls a shaft movement direction of the output plate in order to control contact of the power roller and the output plate. A control unit (50) connected to the first actuator controls operation of the first actuator according to an outside control. |
