A valve sealing member comprises a sealing member 60, 61 secured within a valve housing 11, the sealing member 60, 61 having a peripheral wall adapted to sealingly engage a valve closing member 14, an aperture 120 extending through the peripheral wall defining a channel which is configured to provide lubricating fluid to the valve closing member 14, and a dam 126 at least partially surrounding the aperture 120, the dam 126 having a lower portion angled away from a surface of the peripheral wall. |
