The present invention relates to a user authentication system and method in a mobile device, which confirm whether a user is validated user using an authentication server and store an online service use history of the user in order not to allow the user to deny later that he/she used the corresponding online service. The authentication server according to the present invention comprises: a first device registration unit which receives a mobile device unique identifier and an email address from the mobile device in a mobile device registration process, stores the mobile device unique identifier and the email address in a database, generates and stores a random number in the database, and transmits the random number to the email address; a second device registration unit which receives the mobile device unique identifier, a random number and physical information of a user from the mobile device in the mobile device registration process, compares the received mobile device unique identifier and random number with the mobile device unique identifier and random number that have been stored in the database, and stores the physical information of the user in the database; and a device user authentication unit which receives the mobile device unique identifier and physical information of a user from the mobile device in a device user authentication process, compares the received mobile device unique identifier and physical information of the user with the mobile device unique identifier and the physical information of the user that have been stored in the database to authenticate the user of the mobile device.
