PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing the deposition of a manganese-containing material to paper in papermaking process water to which hypochlorite is added.SOLUTION: In a paper-making process circulation system in which an insoluble manganese-containing material is produced by adding hypochlorite, water soluble inorganic ammonium salt or ammonium water is added. The addition is performed in such a manner that the molar ratio between the hypochlorite and the water soluble inorganic ammonium salt or ammonia water is controlled to 1:1 to 1:2 as a molar ratio between the residual chlorine content and nitrogen. In this way, the deposition of the manganese-containing material on a made-paper is effectively prevented, and paper can be stably produced. |
