PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newsprint paper which is excellent in ink jet printability, and especially exhibits excellent ink jet printability and offset printability in printing by a high-speed ink jet system with no problem of ink dryability and ink water resistance.SOLUTION: A surface treatment agent containing a non-anionic, water-soluble adhesive component, aluminum sulfate, and a cationic blot inhibitor is applied to a base paper containing not less than 50% of mechanical pulp and/or deinked waste paper pulp at a dry coating amount per both sides of 0.5-5.0 g/m. |
