[Problem] To make it possible, when displaying and observing respective tomographic images acquired from multiple image sets side-by-side, to switch more easily between linking and unlinking the serial displays in the multiple display regions where the tomographic images are being displayed. [Solution] In at least one display region where tomographic images are displayed, a linked series subregion and an unlinked series subregion are set. When an input operation calling for exchanging of the tomographic image is received in said display region and the input operation is performed within the unlinked series subregion, only the image displayed in said display region is exchanged with another sequential tomographic image in the same image set. When the input operation is performed within the linked series subregion, the image displayed in said display region is exchanged with another sequential tomographic image in the same image set and the images displayed in each of the other display regions are exchanged with a tomographic image that is in the same image set as the image that had been previously displayed and is associated with the post-exchange tomographic image, which is being displayed in the display region where the input operation was performed. |
