ULTRASONIC INSTRUMENT FOR THE IMPACT TREATMENT OF SURFACES OF COMPONENTS

The invention relates to ultrasonic impact treatment of components arranged underwater. The instrument comprises a housing containing a hermetic sleeve which is made of non-magnetic material and can move along the housing, a head with impact elements, which is positioned at an end of the sleeve, an ultrasonic vibratory drive and a sensor of the position of the sleeve relative to the housing. The ultrasonic vibratory drive is formed by a piezo-electric converter with frequency-reducing cover plates. One of the cover plates is integrally formed with an oscillating-speed transformer and has an inlet working end and an outlet working end. The outlet working end of the cover plate interacts with the impact elements. The oscillating-speed transformer has openings which are hermetically sealed relative to the internal cavity of the sleeve and are interconnected in the area of the outlet end thereof so as to allow water to flow into said openings. The sensor of the position of the sleeve is formed from three permanent magnets. One of the magnets is mounted so as to be able to interact with a flexible element of a sensor switch, and the two other magnets are located in the housing.
