PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detection of bugs, specific to a parallel program, such as a timing bug, in development of a program running on a parallel computing platform.SOLUTION: A method for developing software in parallel computing environment comprises the steps of: developing sequential implementation of software in sequential processing environment (114); verifying that the sequential implementation of the software works as expected (116); developing parallel implementation of the sequential implementation of the software in parallel processing environment (118); and verifying result of the parallel implementation of the software against result of the sequential implementation of the software (120). |
