PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a truck frame for a railway vehicle, capable of improving welding workability of a strike plate for fitting a functional component such as a main motor, a gear device, and a brake device and the design freedom of the fitting position of the functional component.SOLUTION: A truck frame for a railway vehicle includes a pair of left and right side beams 1 arranged along a rail direction, a cross beam 2 for connecting these side beams 1, and a functional component fitting strike plate 3 joined to the cross beam 2. The cross beam 2, which has a rectangular cross sectional shape, includes a top plate 21, a bottom plate 22, and a pair of side plates 23 and 24. A notched hole 25 is formed in the top plate 21 to one side plate 23. The strike plate 3 is inserted into the notched hole 25, and the strike plate 3 and the top plate 21 are joined together by butt welding. |
