PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device having desired color rendering properties.SOLUTION: A phosphor conversion light emitting device comprises: a light emitting layer disposed between an n-type region and a p-type region, constituted so as to emit light having first peak wavelength; a first phosphor constituted so as to emit light having second peak wavelength; and a second phosphor constituted so as to emit light having third peak wavelength. The second phosphor is a phosphor activated by an Eu3+, constituted so that maximum intensity in a wavelength range from 460 to 470 nm is at least 5% of the maximum intensity in a wavelength range from 220 to 320 nm, in an excitation spectrum in 298 K and 1.013 bar.
