PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel-like skin cleansing composition which has moderate viscosity, is either transparent or semitransparent in its appearance, provides excellent cleansing property and warm feeling when being applied, has an excellent storage stability at a range of low to middle temperature, and is especially suitable for a makeup remover.SOLUTION: A gel-like skin cleansing composition includes: (A) 40-95 mass% of polyhydric alcohol which contains glycerol at 20 mass% or more relative to the mass of entire skin cleansing composition; (B) 4-20 mass% of one or more kinds of nonionic surfactant selected from a fatty acid glyceryl of polyoxyethylene and a mono-fatty acid eser of polyethylene glycol having an HLB value of 6-15; (C) 0.1-5 mass% of thickener (such as a carboxyvinyl polymer and an acrylamide polymers) which contains polyhydric alcohol at high concentration and exhibits thickening property in a system which contains low concentration of or no water; and (D) 0-10 mass% of water. The gel-like skin cleansing composition has viscosity of 10,000 mPa s or more when measured by a B type viscometer at 30°C. |
