Disclosed are a method, device, and system for device-to-device (D2D) communication. The method comprises: a first D2D user equipment receives a signaling of an operator network side, where the signaling is for use in notifying the first D2D user equipment to use a WLAN to perform inter-device communication; the first D2D user equipment uses the WLAN to perform direct communication with one or multiple second D2D user equipment of a predetermined area. The present invention reduces load for the operator network incurred by the D2D user equipment. |
