PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device which has a function for sealing a ship propeller shaft and achieves abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: A circulation pump 2 which circulates an oil between a tank 8 and a sealing chamber 23 is disposed in a supply pipe 43 of the sealing chamber 23 filled with the oil. The supply pipe 43 communicates with a lower region of the sealing chamber 23 and an upper region of the sealing chamber 23 has an exhaust pipe 44 leading to the tank 8.
