PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that reduces a difference in temperature between a center part and end parts of a heating rotating body to improve fixability, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: A fixing device 100 performs switching of heating means on the basis of a temperature detected in a wider range in an axial direction of a heating roller 110 compared with the case of switching on the basis of a difference in detected temperature between a first thermometer 140 and a second thermometer 141, so as to perform the switching on the basis of a temperature distribution closer to an actual temperature distribution. Accordingly, a difference in temperature between a center part and end parts in a width direction of recording paper P of the heating roller 110 is reduced; and therefore, the fixing device 100 can improve fixability. |
