PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerative cushion device which can raise a cushion pad while horizontally holding the cushion pad, and can prevent vibration due to the fluctuation of liquid pressure, thereby enabling the operation of the whole press machine to be continued, even in the event of a failure of a servomotor constituting a part of a linear drive device; and to provide an operation method of the same during the servomotor failure.SOLUTION: When a servomotor 22a has failed, the use of the faulty servomotor is stopped by a controller. When a slide is raised, a normal servomotor 22b for driving the same crosshead where the faulty servomotor is arranged is operated alone while an output torque is reduced to an output torque T1 causing no vibration. In addition, the output torque of each of two servomotors 22a and 22b of a linear drive device 20C located at a position diagonal to a linear drive device including the faulty servomotor is controlled to half the output torque T1. When the slide is lowered, the output torque of the normal servomotor 22b for driving the same crosshead where the faulty servomotor is arranged is reduced to an output torque T2 causing no vibration. |
