PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transport a banknote in a banknote transport path bending at an arbitrary angle without allowing the banknote to be dropped off.SOLUTION: The transport unit U includes: a first frame 1 incorporated in a banknote transfer path; a second frame 2 incorporated downstream of the first frame 1 in a transportation direction FD; a main pulley disposed between the second frame 2 and the first frame 1; a support shaft 4 penetrating and supporting a center of the main pulley, the first frame 1 and the second frame 2; and one or more extension passage members 5 incorporated between the first frame 1 and the second frame 2 from an opposite side through one side of a transport belt B of the main pulley; one of the most upstream extension passage members 5 being made to overlap with a downstream end of a first banknote path and stored within the first frame, the first frame 1 or the second frame 2 being made to trun around the support shaft 4 as the center, and an upstream end of a second banknote path 22 being made to connect to the most downstream extension passage member 5 to fix a bending angle. |
