PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crop stem mower in which transportation of crops is not obstructed and balance weights are placed in rational positions where the longitudinal weight balance of a machine body is improved.SOLUTION: A crop stem mower is configured as follows: A traveling machine body is provided with right and left front wheel (1) between which is disposed a transportation passage for transporting crop stems. The transportation passage comprises: a hold-transportation device (5) for hold-transporting the crop stems backward with respect to the machine body; and a cutting device (6) for cutting root sides of the crop stems hold-transported by the hold-transportation device (5). Provided forward of the hold-transportation device (5) are right and left guide bodies (17) for guiding crops of a farm field to the transportation passage. Outside the right and left guide bodies (17), respective right and left balance weights (44) are disposed. |
