The device has a roller casing pressure supply provided with a supply line (5). A shoe roller (1) includes a flexible roller casing (2), where an oil flow quantity conveyed from a lubricant reservoir (7) e.g. closed tank, flows into an inner wall of the casing. A gaseous pressure medium e.g. air, entrained by the oil flow quantity is again supplied from the reservoir into an interior (3) of the casing via a feed circuit (10). The feed circuit includes a condenser (11), in which a gaseous pressure medium sucked from the reservoir is cooled, condensed and supplied into the casing interior.
