<p>Abstract A structure modelling system is disclosed in this 5 specification. The system comprises a measurement tool that surveys building structures and a modelling tool that generates computer models from the measurements captured by the measurement tool. The measurement tool is configured to automatically survey structures having a 10 plurality of rooms using a spatial sensor that maps room boundaries. The measurements are transferred to a modelling tool that generates a computer model of the structure from the individual room measurements. The modelling tool assigns a unique identifier to openings 15 that are shared by adjoining rooms of the structure. The unique identifiers define room associations within the structure.
