PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit-breaking switch for a DC circuit equipped with a bidirectional current cutoff function employed in a DC circuit having a current flowing in dual directions and capable of safely and surely cutting off the current.SOLUTION: Provided is a circuit-breaking switch for cutting off a circuit current by connecting a semiconductor switch in parallel to a mechanical switch 7 connected to a DC wiring path 5, wherein the semiconductor switch is configured with a bidirectional switch circuit 9 consisting of semiconductor switching elements IGBT-1, IGBT-2 connected in antiseries and diodes D1, D2 paralleled in reverse to each of the IGBT-1, IGBT-2. In this configuration, a circuit current is commutated to the switch circuit 9 when the mechanical switch 7 has contacts parted and then the IGBT-1, IGBT-2 are turned off, whereby it is made possible to cut off dual direction circuit currents without being restricted by the direction of electrical conduction in the DC wiring path 5. |
