In a device for drawing threads from a creel to a warping machine the tied together ends of a vertical column in the creel are placed in a holder 4 mounted on a frame 7 and the frame moved along rails 5, 6 transverse to the creel causing hooks 10 to pick up and hold the threads between the creel and the holder 4 which is subsequently removed and carried to the warping machine. The hooks 10 are mounted on chains (not shown) and are caused to move by a Maltese cross gear 14 which engages pegs on the rail 5. One aligned set of hooks pick up the threads from one vertical column. The thread ends knotted at 3 are only placed in the holder 4 after the hooks 10 have picked up the previous row of threads.</p> |
