A method for manufacturing a secondary battery according to an embodiment of the present invention is a method for manufacturing a secondary battery in which a wound body (1), which has a positive electrode sheet, a separator and a negative electrode sheet wound in a layered state, is accommodated within a housing, and comprises a first step for accommodating the wound body (1) in a housing (2) and a second step for high temperature compression of the wound body (1) from the outside of the housing (2) via the housing (2) in a state in which the wound body (1) is accommodated in the housing (2). At this time, the method preferably comprises a third step for carrying out initial charging while confining a part substantially the same as the part in which the wound body (1) underwent high temperature compression via the housing (2) in the second step. |
